Moai Tangata

Abstract

Masculine anthropomorphic standing figure with no base. Its head is carved, it has long ears, drilled eyes, fish bone and onyx stone inlays. Its features are very marked, its eyes are protruding and its nose and eyebrows are prominent. It has a curve carved back, a bulky abdomen and a visible navel. It presents its arms in line with the body, with its hands next to the hips and with extended fingers. Its legs are thick and short and are semi-extended and it has small and flat feet.

Figura antropomorfa masculina de pie sin base. De cabeza tallada, orejas largas, ojos perforados, con incrustaciones de hueso de pescado y piedra onix. De rasgos muy acentuados, sus ojos son sobresalientes, nariz y cejas prominentes. Espalda curva tallada, abdomen abultado con ombligo visible. Presenta los brazos en línea con el cuerpo, con las manos pegadas a las caderas y con los dedos extendidos. Piernas gruesas y cortas semi extendidas y pies planos pequeños.
